Dr. John W. Gilmore II, Th.B., M.Min., Th.M., Th.D.,

Bill Gilmore was born in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1973, where he was reared in a Christian home. At 11 years of age his family re-located to Jacksonville Florida where Bill’s dad attended Trinity Baptist College. It is through Trinity’s ministry that Bill accepted Christ at the age of 12. God used Bill’s home, church and school as a means to reach him with the gospel.

At the age of sixteen, Bill was called to preach. After completing high school, he attended Trinity Bible Institute and graduated with a diploma in Bible. He furthered his education by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology, Masters of Ministry and Master of Theology degrees and a Doctor of  Theology degree.

Dr. Gilmore has been in ministry since 1996 having served in numerous ministries. He has served as a church planter, senior pastor, executive pastor, worship pastor, youth pastor, college professor, dean of students and Christian school administrator.

Dr. Gilmore is currently focusing on ministering to new, small and distressed churches in the states. God has used his pastor’s heart and love for God’s people to allow him to counsel many churches and pastors through difficult and trying circumstances.  

Bill and his wife, Sandy, have been married for 19 years and reside in Jacksonville, Florida. They have two children, Kaitlyn and Billy who enjoy music, outdoor activities and gaming. In addition to spending time with his family, Bill enjoys fishing and hunting.

Bill has demonstrated on several occasions the ability to help churches work through strategic issues and handle transitions, relocations, and the launch of new initiatives. He has done this in the role of senior pastor as well as through a advising role.

We have had the privilege of working with Bill as he assisted the Lighthouse Baptist Church in St. Johns, Florida through the process of merging with another church. We found Bill to be a capable leader who provided wise counsel and acted with integrity. Bill’s efforts throughout the merger process were impressive.
